Ramapo College of New Jersey held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Learning Commons on September 4.
This is a project that brings transformation to the Ramapo College campus by enhancing the George T. Potter Library into a vibrant Learning Commons. The project will enable students to learn and study more effectively by incorporating new technologies and methods of creating scholarship.
“The vision of the Learning Commons has been to bring together a rich array of resources and expertise in support of the teaching, research, collaboration, community and wellness that Ramapo so values,” said Project Manager Lee Alison Clark, AIA, a Senior Associate with Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. “The dramatic, creative, and inspiring physical spaces will be a magnet that students, faculty and staff love to inhabit. The Learning Commons points to the future and promises a total experience that will far exceed the sum of its parts.”
The building is slated to open by August 2021.
